At first it was difficult and frustrating but then we met Chris and it was smooth sailing from that point on. My roommate and I were in the unfortunate situation of needing to find a place within a week, and that too in the last week of the month when most good places were already taken. Plus, we were pretty set on no-fee, which most agents don''t care for.
A friend recommended Anchor Associates and we were put in touch with Meg Gourd, who was nothing shy of AWESOME! She was fast and efficient, and hand-held us through the entire process. She found us great options despite the no-fee restrictions and short notice. She had good advice for us, was honest and realistic about our options, and at the right time was not afraid of giving us a little nudge to make a decision (which we needed!). Once we decided to apply for one of the apartments, we had some concerns as I''m international with limited credit history in the US, and neither of us met the unreasonably high minimum income requirements. Meg worked things through with the building management and we didn''t have to do a thing. Once the lease was signed, she even followed up with recommendations on wall companies.
From beginning to end, Meg was proactive and dependable. We love, love, LOVE our apartment and are so glad we went for it! We''d definitely recommend both Meg & Anchor to anyone looking for an agent!

We recently moved to New York from San Diego. After several viewings with "brokers" who were either leasing agents for specific buildings or other brokers who were determined to show us properties that did not meet our requirements, my wife contacted Gilad Paz from Anchor.
His attitude was refreshing in contrast to our previous experiences. He showed us several great properties and we were able to make an informed decision about what we ultimately wanted: a large apartment with a Manhattan city and Hudson views, in a secure building, with all of the amenities. Working with Gilad was a great experience and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for new space in NYC.
