We had to move apartments after 2 years in a fantastic 2 bed, furnished apartment in the East Village. Having been throuhgly spoilt by NYC real estate we were very fearful about a move to pastures new and had very specific requirements. Nicole showed us a great range of places and did not give up after our extreme pickiness and found us a great apartment in the neighborhood we were looking for, with red brick wall NYC features! She is a pleasure to interact with while looking at the apartment and on the way in between them - always ready with trusted insight, guidance and advice. Let me preface by saying that I have always wanted to live in Manhattan, its been a dream of mine for many years now. After living in Hoboken, NJ for several years I started searching for apartments to rent in Manhattan in January 2010. After working with a few brokers and searching nearly every inch of Manhattan, I decided to stay in Hoboken, but keeping my ultimate goal of living in Manhattan firmly in sight. At that time I saw many places, but was not very impressed with the brokers I was working with. The brokers were not listening to what I was telling them and kept trying to show me places that didn't fit my criteria, they wasted my time and I ended up getting very frustrated and gave up.

I re-started my search for a rental apartment and began working with Fanny Montalvo and and herthe team. I immediately knew I had found the right firm to work with as Fanny and her team made me feel very comfortable and really listened to me and what I wanted in an apartment. Throughout the search process I never felt like I was being pressured into leasing an apartment I didn't want, it was honestly very easy and straight forward from day 1 until closing. I ended up renting a furnished studio apartment in a new condo building in the Upper West Side. After renting for a year I decided that I wanted to purchase an apartment and called on Fanny again to assist in my search. I decided to purchase a unit in the same building I was renting in. I have owned several condo's in NJ over the years, but I can tell you that buying an apartment in Manhattan is a whole different ball game and not an easy process. Fanny and staff made the negotiation and closing process as painless as possible. I have referred a few friends to Fanny as I know they will be in good hands. I worked with Ian while looking for an apartment when I recently moved to Manhattan from abroad.
