List With UsMy roommate and I used Anchor Associates when looking for a rental apartment this past month. We connected with Vu Tran, who had been recommended to us by friends of ours. Having used a broker from a different company a year ago where it was apparent that he only seemed to care about what he earned off of our rental, we knew what qualities to look for in our next broker. Vu was exactly what we needed in order to go through the seemingly long application process- he helped us navigate through all of the paperwork we needed to send in and was always patient with us. He helped us understand the various fees (and not in a way that he helping us for his own good). We told him we wanted to sign a two year lease- he helped us make sure the rent increase from 2014-2015 wouldn't be too high. He was a fantastic liaison between us (our application) and the building/management company. Most importantly, we felt GOOD paying him the brokers fee that came with the apartment/company because he so genuinely wanted to help us find an apartment and not go through the same experience with a broker that we had had the prior year.
I can't speak for all of the reps from Anchor Associates, but if they are half as great as Vu I would definitely recommend working with them.
My friend and I worked with Rick Naylor and I have to say that he did an incredible job and exceeded all my expectations.. Rick was helpful, organized and was nice enough to compile an itinerary for our viewing days. I thought this whole process was going to be a pain in the a** but Rick made it simple and quite enjoyable.. He went out of his way to meet with me at work when I couldn''t step out of the office and gave great advice throughout our search.. Ended up finding a sweet place in Gramercy and have no one else to thank but Rick!

John is the most organized broker we have ever worked with. Not only does he listen to your specific living needs, but he writes everything down and emails it back to you. He asked us questions we hadn’t thought to ask ourselves. If that wasn’t enough, he found us an apartment bigger than we had hoped for at a the rent we were able to pay in the heart of the neighborhood we wanted to live in. He worked hard but he didn’t oversell. And when things got delayed, he calmly stepped in and got the paperwork signed. John has his own style and it works for him. And us.
