List With UsI literally have nothing but good things to say about Anchor Associates, especially Ben Willig. Ben has helped me find an apartment not one, but two times in two years! First in Murray Hill in a studio, and second in a wonderful loft apartment in the west village. He is always well prepared with multiple apartments suiting the criteria you disclose. The best thing about Ben, is that if he shows you an apartment, and you are sort of 'ify' on it, he'll immediately cross out similar apartments, and move on to ones that he feels you'll like more. I have no qualms about referring him to all of my girlfriends, and I have!! I know 5 people who found apartments through Ben, and have had nothing but great things to say, including one particularly picky guy from work who had bad experiences with brokers in the past. NYC is expensive, and Ben helps to put fees and information up front so there is no shock when you are about to sign your name on the dotted line. If I plan to move in the city again, Ben is the first place I will go. No if, ands, or buts about it!
We worked with an Anchor agent to find our current apartment a few years ago and had a great experience. He''s not there anymore, so we decided to pick someone else from the website this time around. We ended up working with Mick DiStasio and he was fantastic! He really took the time to get to know us and what we wanted. We didn''t look at any apartments that didn''t check off the majority of our boxes. Although we spent the majority of two afternoons searching, it felt efficient, but at the same time, not rushed. Once we had seen all of our options, Mick sat down with us for a drink to talk about which place would be best for us. He had our best interests at heart and wasn''t just worried about the bottom line, and that meant a lot. Bonus: Mick''s "wingspan" is the width of a queen bed, which can be very helpful when trying to get a grasp on a space!
It was by happenstance that we met Howard Hauptman, but we are glad that we did. We were looking for a unique apartment to buy on the West Side and with Howard''s help we definitely found one. Not only is he a very nice man, but he has a great understanding of the market, is always available if you need him, and he negotiated well for us. We would use him again!
Andrei was great to work with - very quick responses, on time for appointments, and courteous. Not your typical realtor! My situation changed so I ended up not moving apartments, but I would definitely go back to Andrei and recommend him.
