James's Raving Fans!

"***This review was posted on Yelp*** I recently relocated to NYC for a job and made an amazing discovery in James Hall. This guy is great! I had previously worked with a few other agents because of my extremely short timeline (and over the Thanksgiving holiday, no less) and they left more than a little to be desired. To put it bluntly, they were unprofessional, pushy, unpolished, and by my estimation, had no useful knowledge of the NY market. You will find a lot of people in real estate here that are far below average at what they do because first they were a mechanic, then a bartender, then a swim coach, and then decided to try their hand at real estate. They are everywhere, so beware! I hate to have my time wasted and these agents do it in the most epic way possible. Where most agents in NYC fail, James excels and exceeds expectations. By the time I began working with James, I had already seen upwards of 30 apartments that fell terribly short on my small list of must haves. For example, I have a dog and stated explicitly that I couldn''t have carpet in the apartment. This should be a pretty obvious one, but I still had agents showing me places that were fully carpeted and selling it as being a "luxurious upgrade." Are you kidding me? I didn''t even know places like that existed, but apparently they do. It doesn''t matter what requirements you have, other agents in NYC will show you the OPPOSITE of what you are looking for. But not James. We had *one* conversation where I told him about my lifestyle, things I need in an apartment, work habits, etc and the FIRST apartment that he ever took me to was the one I ended up leasing. I looked at a few after that just to be sure I wasn''t dreaming because it was really too good to be true. Not only that, but he was amazing during the entire lease signing process. He always had time for my questions and never rushed me around like he had better things to be doing. Everyone told me how difficult the NY market is, but it need not be if you have the right agent! It literally makes all the difference in the world and I wish I had found him on Day 1. If I could, I''d give James 10 stars for outstanding service!"
